2003 Chevy Trailblazer leak in power steering fluid line

If I drive 80 miles after filling the power steering reservoir and it runs dry, will I burn out the power steering unit or do other damage

80 miles on a pump with no fluid will burn it out, but it will also mess up your rack and pinion..... if there is a leak, i suggest getting it fixed, and having the system bled by a professional as the gms can be pretty tempermental when it comes to getting air out of the system.
