My Check engine light will continues to come on.
I had the code check. It was the converters. I replaced the converters(2) and the O2 sensors(4).
The converter are magaflow converters. The shop I took it to did the work. However, the light still comes on. I took it back. They put O2 eliminators on it. (Explaination: the back pressure change when the converter were changed) However, the light came on again. My question: What is the back pressure suppose to be? Does the computer need new programming to accept the new type converters? Are the exhaust people I took it to idiots?

Back pressure does not affect the o2 sensor readings, highflow cats or not they still have backpressure as they are catalytic convertors and have to function.

The second o2 sensors take the output of the #1 sensors and compare them with the signal/switching coming out of the convertors, it may have to be reprogramed to accept the new convertors.

After market exhaust systems are a pain and usually interfere with the o2 sensors.
