2003 Chevy Trailblazer chk engine & reduced power engin

Trying 2 find out the problem for the reason on why the reduced engine power light comes on sometimes when the car starts and will not accelerate pass 10mph not unless the car s turned off/on til it can be driven.As, for the chk engine light goes it just stays on all the time.

You first need to have the codes read to determine what malfunction was seen by the computer.

It sounds you you are having an intermittent problem with one of the TPS signals. You have a "drive by wire" system that has 2 TPSs built into it and if one fails. the computer automatically puts a half throttle limit on it. This is an expensive part so have it checked to be sure.
