Air Conditioning problem
2003 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My wife if having problems with the air conditioner on her 03 trailblazer. the air conditioner will blow out of the top vents (defrost) but will not blow out of the front vents. Also whenever you turn the setting on higher than 3 it quits working altogether. what is the problem and approximately how much?? is this something that I could fix myself

Those mode air doors are controlled by electric motors/actuators. The doors can be stuck, the actuators bad or the controller module malfunctioning. This could get expensive because the dash would likely have to be removed to access any of these items. The blower speed issue won't be that serious but it has to be diagnosed first.
