No, its connected to the ignition module

It will work for a while then it will drop to 0 when I stop. If I cut it off and restart it it will work for a few min.

That sounds like a tricky one. My money is on a faulty tachometer itself. How I would diagnose this is to use a scan tool and watch rpm and if it reaads correct when the tach reads zero I would suspect a bad tach

I just change transmission filter and fluid iin it and after that is when it started this that is why I was woundering if this could have caused the problem

No, not a chance. Double check the wiring by the transmission dipstick tube because thats near the ignition wiring harness to make sure there is nothing touching.
