THE REAR END WOBBLES BACK AND FORTH WHEN ACCELERATING. THINK IT MAY BE REAR SHOCKS. IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT FOR SURE? IF I DO NEED TO REPLACE THE SHOCKS, DO I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO REPLACE FRONT STRUTS?

You mean the rear end goes side to side? That is not shocks, that is a link of some kind in the rear suspension that is supposed to hold the rear axle from going side to side like that.
