I've been given the run-around by various shops and dealers and no one knows what's the problem. When I accelerate, I can feel through the floor and hear a low roar. It's more noticeable around 35 mph. I replaced the catalytic converter last April, when the check engine light and the sound began. The light went out but the sound continued. I've been told: something in the engine, something in the exhaust system, motor mounts. Could it be any of these? Any other possibilities. I also replaced the fan clutch about 4 years ago. It doesn't sound like that problem.

If the exhaust system is out of adjustment, it could rub the frame and cause the problem you hear. Have you checked to see if the trans and motor mounts are good?
