the best bet is to replace the whole axle especially if hte boot is cracked otherwise you have to go through all the work o taking the axle out replacing the grease and boot then reinstalling it. YOu neeed special pliers to lock the rings on teh cv joint so it's easier to just get an axle and replace it solves the problem.
