2002 Chevy Trailblazer car stuck in neutral

Hi,

My car is stuck in neutral, but my gear stick is all the way forward like it is in park. This has happened before. Before I can get it to the shop, is there anyway I can manually override the brake switch to get my car into gear? Thanks for your help.

make sure your shifter cable is hooked up to the transmission range selector.
