Is there a trick to pressing "Out" the original ball joints from the lower control arm? Do you have to grind off the crown top of the ball joint to press the old joint through?

I took the edges of the flange. However the ball joint press I got from the parts store did not have the correct fittings for the Trailblazer. So I had to get the ball joint pressed out at the local Midas. 15$, it was worth it!
