2005 Chevy Tahoe knocking sound while sitting still

I've noticed that when I am sitting at a stop light, I hear a knocking sound coming from the rear of my vehicle. It sounds as if someone is literally knocking on the vehicle. Any idea what this might be?

Have you checked the exhaust to see if it is loose. It could be hitting the under side of the vehicle.
