2005 Chevy Tahoe EVAP system leak

I have had my car hooked up to a computer and it says it has an evap system leak. Do you know what the problem might be and how expensive this could be for me?

Hi:
It could be a bad gas cap or a number of other things tied into the fuel system. My recommendation, if a simple fuel cap doesn't work, is to have the system fogged for leaks. These problems are very hard to locate and you will drive yourself crazy trying to. When the system is fogged, the fog will be seen coming from the area that is bad. Otherwise you need to try to see things that can be hidden behind the fuel tank, wiring, engine components.
