2003 Chevy Tahoe Door Sensor

My information center is telling me that "right rear door is open" however I have open and shut it multiple times. It is definitely closed. Could this be a sensor of some sort?

Try this 1st

use a penetrating oil (WD40)and spray in the door latch close and open door few times and spray again

I've tried that, but will try it again. Is there anything else to try before getting into part replacements?

Next step should be to check BCM for codes and to do that you need a scanner tool
most common is that the switch stock and penetration oil should help (in most cases)
