2003 Chevy Tahoe do I have a transmission problem

My truck goes forward and drives good, but when you put it is reverse it will not move. Is this a transmission problem?

Affarid so does engine rev up or does it feel like brake on?

The Doc is right. It sounds like you have a broken reaction shell in the transmission. This is a common failure on the 4l60e transmission. You can contact your local dealership or transmission specialist for an estimate.
