2002 Chevy Tahoe trade out v8 for v6

please can you tell if i can trade my v8 engine for a v6 so i can get better gas mileage and if so can you tell which engine would you recommend. thank you for your help.

i would never suggest swapping different style of engines on them types of vehicles. if gas mileage is a concern i would trade it in, or buy a cheap beater. if you do this, you can drop the value of the vehicle, damage costly wire harnesses and computers. I would not suggest this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
