Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Chevy Tahoe 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
at 84,000 it stops on me while driving. Diagnosed as fuel pump and replaced. First replacement fuel pump lasts two days, take it back to mechanic and he discovers supplier supplied wrong fuel pump. Gets the right one and replaces again. Now this has lasted about 10 days and now doesn't fire up. mechanic tells me some friends he has who have these vehicles claim the fuel pump replacement parts are no good and I will just continue to have this problem. Need a fix cause I need my car. your advice please.

try a original equipment dealer part, if it has the improper number of com. bars in it, the pump will keep going out, adn you will have to keep replacing.

also make sure your not running it low on fuel. could be bad fuel pressure regulator.
