2000 Chevy Tahoe Oil in engine

My 2000 chevy tahoe makes a tapping noise when it is frirst started and driven slow but after awhile at normal spped the noise will quiet. What do you think is it a oil presure or what ?

Hi there,

This is often a lazy hydraulic lash adjuster / lifter, do and engine service and use a good quality oil flush, this may help clean out any carbon deposits in the lifter, if not it will have to be replaced.
