My 2000 tahoe is making a squeal from the front of the engine. I think it is the belt but not sure, I can hear it in the front of the engine while listening at idle with no AC on. It doesnt do it all the time but when it does it is apparent from inside the vehicle. It is also not constant but a rythmic noise like each revolution. The belt itself appears to be in good condition.
