I just had the fuel pump replaced 2/09 and since I got it back it smells like a gas pump from 5 feet away. My mechanic says it shouldn't be my fuel pump since I see no fuel leakage. Any ideas?

Do you have a check engine light?

Have the evaporative control system checked out-

No check engine light on. Thanks I will mention that when it goes back to him. Could it be anything from the fuel pump replacement? Since that is when the smell began.
