My 1999 Tahoe has the check engine light on. We ran diagnostics and it came up with O2 sensors problem. I've since replaced the O2 sensor. The light remains on. I took it to a Dealership, they ran the test and it came back O2 sensor again, but might have something to do with the catalytic converter. I just had my converter checked at a muffler shop, and the catalytic converter is working fine.
What could be causing this error code to appear? Any help would be helpful.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. The error codes that came up were P0132 and P0420.I have changed the sensor(Sensor1 bank1)and driven less than 10,000 miles with it. The P0420 is a catalytic converter code and I just had it looked at and all is supposed good with it. What could possibly making my Check engine Light remain on with these codes?

Thanks

Drew

I would be checking for an exhaust leak on bank one cuasing both codes. The p0132 code will thnk its an issue with the o2 sensor and throw the code.

The p0402 compares its reading with the sensor 1 and if the first sensor is reading off and the second one is reading normal, the computer will read it as a catalyst error and throw that code.

Check your wiring harnesses.
