I am trying to change the fuel pump on my Tahoe. I have the tank down, but cannot figure out how to disconnect the fuel lines at the pump. The fittings have a bell around the plastic tube coming off of the fuel pump. Do I need a special tool? Is there a way to disconnect them without the use of a special tool?

you need a special tool. very cheap from the parts store. i always break the fuel sending unit(its plastic) to get the tank down then remove the lines, its a lot easier. the new pump comes with a sending unit. also check the plug to the [pump they have been known to melt and loosen up
