I had to use my 4X4 the other day during a flood. Now it won't go out of 4X4 and the service 4wd light comes on and off. I was told that something got wet. If this is so (not likely) does it need to dry out and will go away? Or is there something else major wrong?

possible problem with the shift motor on the transfer case. try disconnecting the battery and then put in 2wd, if still inop then you will need to scan the codes and go from there
