1998 Chevy Tahoe Spongy Brakes

I am getting ready to buy a 1998 Chevy Tahoe and the guy said that he just had the brake system blead due to the spongy brakes. I drove it and it is a litttle spongy. He said that the spongy brake sysytem was normal for 98 Chevys. I was wondering if this a normal problem or does more need to be done to fix the problem?

Most all gm products of this year have a little songy brake pedal. But if they only bleed the brakes without any other repair there is probably a problem somewhere thats needs attention.

The common places are wheel cylinders and master cylinder. I would pay to have a profesional look at it as a pre-purchase inspection. Its ussually cheap insurance on major concerns.
