I'm replaceing the transmission cause it went out. Can I take the transmission out without removing the tranfercase? Can I just seperate them and leave the t-case in the truck? It looks like I would have to remove the torssion bars from the front and everything. I dont want to do anymore than I have to I guess. Thank you for your time. Any info would help.

having recently done a trans r/r, it's actually simpler to pull the transfer case out completely out than to try to leave it in the vehicle.
