Whenever I accelerate whether from a complete stop or while moving, there is a ticking sound coming out the left side of the engine. Could it be something to do with my exhaust?

Hello,

It sounds like you could have a loose spark plug I would check that first. Then take a socket and run over the exhaust manifold bolts to make sure they are tight to the cylinder head. Finally check the flange gasket to the manifold to the head pipe.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers
