Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 212K miles

I have a problem that has seemed to stump my mechanic. My '97 Tahoe has 212K miles and had the Tx replaced at 65K with a "heavier duty" unit. Lately, I have noticed an intermittant vibration that occurs when I am coasting in 4th gear and then gently apply power - at lower RPM. It is inconsistent, but does seem to last longer when the car is warm. The vibration seems to come from below the driver's seat (torque converter?) Right now, it appears to relate to RPM, gear, and temp.

Sure sounds like a trans shudder. Have you had it serviced and what kind of fluid is being used in it?
