1996 Chevy Tahoe Transmission Swap

I have a 96 Chevy Tahoe Sport and the gear ring isn't catching. I also have a 96 Chevy Caprice, with a newer tranny. Can I swap my Caprice tranny with the Tahoe tranny? Will it fit? Please advise. Thanks!

It will fit but make sure it is the same tranny.
