1996 Chevy Tahoe Air Conditioner blowing hot air

I have a leak in my water pump due to a seal, which was replaced last summer. However, my air condtioner is blowing hot air & i just had the compressor replaced 2 yrs ago. Would the leak in my water pump affect my air condtioner?
