Had our tahoe in storage for about 3 years, took it out and started driving it for about 2 weeks now. We"ve always maintained it in showroom condition. When I came off the freeway the other day to a stoplight, I felt a slight shimmer in the brakes. While setting at the light, the ABS light came on and as I proceeded through the intersection, I realized that the transmission wouldn't shift out of low. I checked the brake and transmission fluid which was fine. Upon starting the dash lights go through their startup test and then go out as normal. As I start driving everything works normal for about 1/8 mile and then the abs light comes back on and the transmisson locks back down to low, I assume this may be some safety feature but I don't know that for a fact. Any direction to start looking for the problem, other than the dealership would be most helpful.
