1995 Chevy Tahoe on takeoff rear end drops down and pops

1995 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when i take off from a stop the whole rear end drops down and something pops. i just replaced the shocks and its still doing it. im wondering if its the the axle shifting around or maybe a broke leaf spring. i jacked it up but nothing looks broke or looks like its moving around or anything.

Does this Tahoe have a torsion bar suspension in the front?
