squealing noise when accerlerating

1994 6.5L GMC diesel suburban automatic 4x4. about 160k miles. doesn't squeal or make whining noise while idling. just when hitting the gas. thanks!

IT is either your fan clutch (hopefully) or your compressor (ouch).

I was having the same problem on my 03 Suburban. Took it to the shop today and they told me my compressor was going out. Total cost with new belt $794
