Engine Performance problem
2007 Chevy Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When you start the suburban, the key continues to start and it take a while for the engine to start. We have already run a diagnostic test with our computer but nothing shows up on it. Can you please help to determine what the problem might be?

On some of these systems, the computer has control of the starter relay, if you release the key too soon, the computer can cause the starter to keep cranking. There is a timer in the pcm, once activated, even if you release the key, the engine will still crank until the engine starts or the timer runs down. This is normal.

You might try cycling the key two or three times, without cranking, then try to start. My thought being, if there is an initial prime for the fuel system, cycling the key may help?
