I have a 2006 Z71 Suburban bought it new from my dealer. About a month ago I brought it in for a routine oil change which I also had new tires put on and a alignment. A day or 2 after I got a message on the dash say "sevice tire monitor" I took it in they tried to get it to re-learn but failed to do so. They even tried hooking it up to the computer where they plug it in under the dash. They proceeded to drain my battery. Next they pulled the tire off that would not learn and found when they installed the tires the cracked a sensor. They gave me a new sensor. Things seemed ok for about a week. One night I got home and turned the vehicle off and the heater fan would continue to run even with the vehicle off. So I took it back again. They replaced some resistor or something like that and all seemed fine. Until a day or 2 later again now I get a Stability System Disabled message along with no cruise control. They do some test again and tell me I need a new battery which I feel they drained a few weeks ago when the were trying to get the tire pressure sensor thing figured out. Now they fix the stabiility control issue along with the cruise control. When I pick it up and pull out of the lot I notice I have heat from the front that is hot but the rear heating system is blowing freezing cold air. When I brought it in that morning I had great heat from the whole vehicle. They are now telling me it is something in the rear heating unit and will probably run about 700-800 dollar. Now I have had no problem with this vehicle until I had these new tires put on and only issue after issue in the last few weeks since. What are they doing to my vehicle. Or am I nuts and all this is just par for the course due to the age of the vehicle which is only 2 years. Any insight you can give would be great.

Thanks

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

Sometimes people can have a run of bad luck that makes it seem to be the repair shops faults, but it is really hard to determine that. Everyone knows that many repair shops DO try to get as much money from you as possible, but in reality there are very few that actually "sabotage" the vehicle by purposely causing other issues. The only thing you could do at this point is to get the repair shop to fix the issue at hand or you can have a second repair shop fix this issue for you. Honestly, it sounds like you are just in a bad luck role with your vehicle. Parts fail at random times, sometimes 2 or 3 parts at a time. The fact that they admitted to breaking the sensor is a sign of a good repair shop.
