2006 Chevy Suburban oil pressure

my oil pressure gauge is showing max - 80. it's normally 40. i recently added qt of oil. could that cause it?
how many holes on the dipstcik have to be coverd (there is 5 all together)?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit if not the oil pump pressure relief valve sticking close

If there's no knocking noises coming from the engine why not-I recommend you get the oil pressure checked.
