Speedometer not working

Sometimes it works ok, then it wil drop down to a lower speed even though the car is still moving faster, and sometimes it doesn't work at all

Hello - My suggestion is your Vehicle Speed Sensor located on the right rear of the transmission is going bad. Item 36 in the pic
