2005 Chevy Suburban air not working

Why does my air conditiioner at any given time, start blowing out hot air. I can pull over shut vehicle off then restart and air will be working fine. It does this like twice a week or so?

Eventually it went completely out and I trouble shooted the tentuator doors and found that they were not recieving signal so I got on Ebay and found a new control head for 25 dollars and replaced it in about 20 mins or so. I have never had the problem since. Saved 1,400 bucks. This was a year ago.
