2004 Chevy Suburban heater blowing cold air

When the heater is turned on to any setting it will intermittently blow hot and cold air. Watching the temperature gauge it will go from 210 degrees to 240 degrees. When the temp on the gauge is climbing it blows cold air when it falls back the 210 it blows hot air.

Hi, Doug. This sounds like a typical thermostat problem. Have you made sure the coolant is full? If it is, I would start by replacing the thermostat.

Let me know what you find. Remember, Doug, this could also just be a low coolant problem. (I hope)
