My wife took our 2003 Suburban through an automatic carwash with the gas cap off and gas door open. The car only has 3+ gallons of gas in it. What should I do?

Does the vehicle run? If it runs change the fuel filter. If it does not run you will have to remove fuel tank and drain. Check back to us.

She drive it home from the carwash, about 5 miles and she did not know it. I came home and found the clean car and an open tank. I'm trying to figure out whether to add more gas or do something more.

The fuel filter will hold the water so you definately need to replace it. You probably did not get that much water in the tank, it is still pretty sealed even though the cap is off. I would definately have the fuel filter replaced tomorrow and then fill the tank. On your next oil change change the fuel filter again. You will be fine.
