This morning as I pulled into the driveway at work my Suburban my steering became very hard. As the radius of the turn increased it even seemed like the truck stared to lose power. When I straitened out and back in and out strait the car was fine. But when I backed all the way out and try to turn back in again it did the same thing. hard to trun and feeling of loss of power. Any ideas? Will it be safe to drive to a repair shop - or should i have it towed?

do you know if hte belt was still on it? could be a broken shaft in the power steering pump or just a bad pump. i would have it towed. it is a safety concern.
