I have push button four wheel drive that will not do anything when I push any of the buttons. This happens mainly when it is cold. I just tried it today now that it is a little warmer, and switched it to Auto 4 X 4, now it won't go back to 2 Hi. Is the switch going bad, or is there something else bigger wrong?

Hi:
chances are the actuator is going bad. It's the electric motor that shifts the transfer case. Listen, what you need to do is check to see if it's getting power to the actuator when you turn the switch. If you are, the actuator most likely needs replaced.

Let me know what you find.
