The brake lights quit working on my suburban. I checked the two fuses that the manual had listed and checked the bulbs and they were fine. I then put a new switch in and that did not solve the problem. The suburban has power adjustable brake and gas pedals if that makes a difference. What else could be wrong?

Hello and thanks for donating!

Are all of the brake lights inoperative or just the main 2 brake lights? If all then test the battery positive circuit of the stoplamp switch for high resistance, an open or short to ground.
Let me know if you find any faults with the stoplamp switch wiring.
