Engine Performance problem

Hello,
I recently changed my ’89 Chevy Suburban 1500 for the newer 2002 LT 5.3 litre model, I am more than happy with the 13 year development, more power, better handling, comfort etc., However I do miss that “Throaty†exhaust tone. Is there anything you can suggest/recommend without loss of performance.
