I have a 2002 2WD Chevy Suburban with 103K miles. It has started to vibrate at about 60mph and higher. I've had the tires re-balanced and rotated and that hasn't fixed anything. I don't know if it's related but the transmission also has begun shifting rough making a clunking sound when going from park to reverse and then to drive. What could be going on?

At first I was going to say a possible slipped belt in one of the tires.
But then you talked about the clunking noise.
So check your U-joints.
