Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Chevy Suburban Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When I start my car, it sputters and shakes, and sometimes turns off. When I restart it, it starts the same way, but doesn't usually shut off. We have had the oil and filter changed, the gas filter changed, and the sensors cleaned, the computer suggested the problem was in this area. After starting, it runs fine, but occasionally it doesn't want to go from 55 higher when passsing a car and takes 5-10 seconds to change gears. The car, despite the high miles, is clean and most of the miles are highway miles. Any suggestions. Someone mentioned spark plugs, which I'm sure it could use, but I want to fix this problem first. Also, it is pretty cold here when I start it, usually below 30 degrees.

can you get access to a heated garage to park the vehicle in overnight and try to start it to see if the weather plays a difference?

also check for a restricted exhaust system.
