Just bought a 2000 Suburban, 5.3 liter motor.
I need to change the oil.
1- Do I need to remove the skid plate?
2- Where is the oil filter located?
3- How many quarts should I use with the
filter change?

I plan to use 10-30 oil.

Thanks -- MIKE

Should be able to remove drain plug without removing skid plate. Capacity is 6 quarts including filter change. Oil filter should be on engine block, behind radiator. Have to slide underneath vehicle to access it.
