1999 Chevy Suburban we raplaced

The distributer on our 99 suburban
due to the truck not startin.
before I replaced the distributer it wanted to start now it wont at all
its almost liek the batery is shot
its a brandnew batery out of my brothers 94 silverado
i think we may have blown a fuse under the hood.
we cant figure out wht is wrong now
the starter doesnt engage at all no clicking noise
it has a clickin noise under the dash and the fuel gage constantly reads full wich it should not
i would apriciate any answer thanks
