1999 Chevy Suburban Security Light

Engine cranks but the security light starts blinking and I think the computer stops the engine ( ignition or fuel cut off).

This is an intermittant and it stop totally for the past two months but reappeared today

It is the security system. You could try using a different key to see if that helps. If it doesn't, you need to take it to a dealer. They are the only ones that I know of that have the proper test equipment.
