Hi, I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban C1500 1/2ton with a V8 standard(not turbo diesel). I'm trying to replace the front brake pads, but I've run into a problem. I've noticed that I can't get the caliper to fit onto the rotor correctly after placing the new brake pads on. The hole where you insert the mounting bolts protrudes a bit and then I can't fit it onto the caliper mount, the new pads make it about a quarter inch too thick. Any suggestions?

Yes, that is the first thing I tried. It was suggested that I try to get the sleeves to slide back in, so I'm trying that today.
