Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Suburban All Wheel Drive Automatic 113000 miles

a few years ago I had a remote starter/security system installed. when it rains or high humidity my truck will not start, until it wants to. I have had my mechanic come to my home with the diagnostic equipment and the info came back as my security system. I even had my security system disconnected and I'm still having the same problem. My mechanic says that I need my security module replaced and reprogammed. my question is do you think that this will fix my won't start problems when it raining ?

Hey, take a look at your distributor cap. If it has a crack, even a hairline fracture. It could be letting moisture in and causing you mayhem. Good luck!
