Please help me idenify this prob the truck starts but only runs for 3 seconds then dies now the history my friend replaced the batt and the starter still wont stay running. Its just running on cold start fuel only checked fuel pressureand was at 39 psi so I replaced it with a carter pump and a updated elec plug. Now I have 55to64 psi and still the same problem. Now I have isolated it to a run problem. And not a the start system problem. And this is how I did that. I have a 1 quart pressure pot that I have filled with gas. I can disconect the pcv valve and manually spray gas in the manifold and it will stay running the only light that stays on when I do this is the security light. IT does not blink or flash just shines and smiles at me. PLease HELP find this problem as I am at my witts end TXs

Are you maintaining fuel pressure and spark after the 3 seconds it runs? It sounds like the security system is shuting it down. I would recommend having that checked by a dealer that has the proper test equipment.
